DANCEFLOOR TERRORISM
In a world ruled by convention and unbending social constructs, where hearts and minds are perennially plagued by inertia, the light of change is often obscured by the shadow of familiarity; with visionaries cast as villains and the status quo ruling supreme.

Hailing from the sunny Mediterranean, where the
air is so dewy you don’t even have to lick your postage stamps, this unlikely duo has been sticking it to the man ever since their first ill-fated attempt at dislodging an analogue turntable rig to make way for their fledgling computer music ensemble.

Nevertheless, throughout history, humans have relied upon machines to survive, and fate, it would seem, is not without a sense of irony. Since that fateful evening back in 2007, DFT has gone on to spread the good word to all who would listen, conventionalizing the unconventional, and blurring the lines between studio production and live performance.

Those fortunate enough to have seem them live will testify that their DJ sets are action-packed affairs, incorporating an ever-expanding array of computers, controllers, drum machines, synthesizers and FX units to deliver a truly original and unique experience. Seamless sampling, audacious effect integration and lightning transitions epitomize their sound, which has aptly been described as ‘disco clash rave’ (Junior, Loot&Plunder) – with influences such as Breakbot, DJ Falcon, Boys Noize, Aeroplane, Justice, The Twelves, Siriusmo and Grum (to name a few), it’s easy to see just why.

There’s a whole new sound waiting for you, just outside the square.
